Habit Shifting

Work with EFT to identify old unproductive habits that keep you stuck and prevent you from growing and feeling free. Sign up for our Habit Shifting Program that starts with an hour long session and follows up with weekly or bi-weekly 30 minute check-ins to help keep you on track with your personal goals.

EFT recognizes that in order to change old habits and grow into new areas of self-development, including starting a fitness program or resuming one after a long time away, it’s important to know oneself and what draws us away from self-care and making good, healthy choices for ourselves. This knowledge helps us sustain new activities towards desired, uplifting, and empowering goals. You can choose to sign up for this tandem habit change program which will enhance your self-growth, help discover your roadblocks to successful habit changes, learn to recognize triggers that arise and prevent your good habit follow-through, and help you stay on task each week with your fitness commitment as well as any other healthy habit shifts. You will fill out EFT’s Habit Change questionnaire and review each item with your trainer. The first session is an hour long. You will agree on one important attainable habit-shifting goal that you will work on each week. There will then be a 30-minute follow-up habit change meeting each week to discuss new experiences and modify them appropriately. This can happen before or after your workout session or separately on a phone call.

EFT takes this very seriously, and clients will never be asked to make changes they are uncomfortable with, instead approaching changes slowly and at an achievable pace. The goal is self-efficacy, building self-confidence, and trust in oneself. Your fitness plan at EFT and your exercise and activities outside of EFT will be an important, integral part of the success of any habit changes you are in the process of making.
